I can't even begin to tell y'all how anxious I am for this book to come out!
August 24, 2010

OOOO so purty!
What depresses me though, is the teeeeeny tiny writing on the very top that says:
THE FINAL BOOK OF THE HUNGER GAMES
For all that we're excited to know how it will end, it will be a sad day when we can't look forward to it anymore.
Is there another series that got you thirsting for more quite like this one? If there is, please share, because I'm on the hunt. I think we'll all need something to focus on, post-Hunger Games.

The most recent ones for me were the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning, and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I was literally depressed for the rest of the day when I read the latest VA book.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely waiting until the last Hunger Games is out before I read this series. I hate coming in the middle!
Right there with you!!
ReplyDeleteI liked the Dream Cather series, Wake, Fade, and I just bought Gone to read...
Oh! And Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore. You'd love those books if you loved Hunger Games...
I haven't found a good series in a while. With the recommendations above, I might have some good books to read for quite some time. Yay for new books!
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited book three is on its way. My son is bringing home Chasing Fire from school today; he bought it at the Scholastic Book Fair. I'm going to have to wrestle him to get to read it first, but I'm way stronger than that little shrimp of an eleven-year-old, so no worries! (LOL)
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this book.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a good series that has a few books already, but I know Shiver is having a second book.
Yes! I have my calendar marked! : )
ReplyDeleteTeam Peeta rules!!!
I have been hearing about this series so much. I MUST read it.
ReplyDeleteaw...well you'll have to read it very slowly...and savor it!
ReplyDeleteOh, heck, I'm SO excited for this book, too!!!!!!!!!!! And I agree - great cover.
ReplyDeleteI've recently started reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Umm...where has it been all my life? It's like Harry Potter, only in America and with Greek gods/goddesses instead of wizards. You should definitely check it out!
I haven't finished reading HUNGER GAMES and CATCHING FIRE yet and I am already looking forward to this one. Such a gorgeous cover!
ReplyDeleteOne series that I'm looking forward to Megan Whalen Turner's Attolia series, which begins with THE THIEF. The 4th book is coming out in March and I cannot wait!
Thanks for all the suggestions! I just bought the first Percy Jackson today, and I'm looking up all the others on Goodreads!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh heartssssss.... :) I can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Percy Jackson, either. Sounds very cool, though. I just got 6 new books in the mail... oh dear. :) I want to read everything! Lol...
