Here's a picture I took of her when she was just born:
And a current picture from her benefit page taken by a family member:
#1 - Red Bike of Florence - Black and White with color
#2 - Red Bike of Florence
#3 - Eye of the Colosseum
#4 - Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italy - Tilt Shift
#5 - Boats of Cinque Terre, Italy - Tilt Shift
#6 - Marina, Cinque Terre, Italy - Tilt Shift
#7 - Street in Cinque Terre, Italy - Tilt Shift
#8 - Fishing Village outside of Shanghai, China - Tilt Shift
#9 - The Great Wall of China - Tilt Shift
Thoughts? Which is your favorite?
I don't have all of these listed in my Etsy store, but I will be taking note of the popular ones and may add them soon! Thanks so much for your help!

They are all so incredible! I was originally going to say #1 but then I saw #8 and the longer I look at it the more in love I fall with it. I think #6 and #7 are fabulous too, and I love their vibrancy, but #8 appeals to me a little more. I don't know why. I think it's similar to #1 in that it has the isolated feel of bright colours contrasted against the less vibrant (so the red lanterns against the greys and browns of the buildings) but it also tells a story. I see the bridge in the distance with the people and wonder what they are doing. I see the steps up to the house from the water, and the open window, and I make a story about that in my mind.
ReplyDeleteUm, so, yea. Ultimately they are all spectacular but that's my vote.
It's a wonderful thing you're doing and I hope the auction goes brilliantly!
<3
Good heavens, it's like trying to choose your favorite dessert! I have to say that looking over them, I was initially drawn to #1 because I just love the way the red bike just pops in the black and white image. But I also love water scenes, so I adore #5 as well. And #8 is simply gorgeous with the color, green of the scenery, and the water as well. I also think you capture the Great Wall beautifully in #9. However, if I had to choose... I would say #1 and #8, but it is a really, REALLY tough call. You're really a peach for helping them, Kristin, so I hope whatever photos you ultimately decide on will do well in the auction.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

Oh dear. What a great thing happening for them, that's awesome! And kind of you too!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I love #8. It's such a neat mix of water scene and oriental culturey stuff. (technical, I know)
#4 and #3 are beautiful too! Those are all of my 3 faves. ;)
Good luck choosing! They're all beautiful!
I think it's so great that you are helping! I love 2 , 4 & 8
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but 1 and 2 really speak to me since I can imagine myself in the picture more easily- it's closer to me. At first the contrast of 1 was winning me over, but my final answer is 2. I love the warm colors with the slight contrast of the red bike waiting for me and promising fun and adventure.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh--those are all stunning! And I totally love the Cinque Terre pics--one of my favorite places on earth!
ReplyDeleteThat said, I really love #2. The colors are great and I love the angle. And like Jessica said, the whole photo promises fun!
I love 2, 4, and 9, but they are ALL beautiful. I'm sending my best, best wishes to your friends and hoping that the auction will be able to help them and their precious little one.
ReplyDeleteMy favs were 2, 5 and 8, but i could probably make a case for any of them. They're all awesome.
ReplyDeleteThey're all amazing, Kristin! I want to put them ALL on my walls. My absolute fav is #2. But they're all amazing and I'm of course also partial to the China ones. I'm so glad it's working out for you to do something for this sweet little girl! I'm happy to hear the therapy is going well. <3
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I'm the only one voting for number 3, but I'm in love with it!!!! You have an unbelievable talent!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think it's about the greatest thing we can spend money on, to help a little girl. Are you still doing the big auction. I'm sorry I went MIA! I'd still be happy to email some people and I'll blog about this too!
I hope you've been well:)
Red bike black and white, it's the most artsy.
ReplyDeleteI remember that old picture of the baby back when you took it! Such a sad story :(
Aren't you just a tilt shift kind of girl? lol I tend to not like tilt shift if it's a portrait (I'm in the minority, I know), but I like it on landscapes.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorites are the fishing village one and the marina at Cinque Terre. Gah, you are so much better at landscapes than me! I SUCK at them! lol
...of course you're just a lot better than me in general. So. ;)
It's TOO HARD to choose! If I had to pick, which if I'm trying to be helpful, I guess I do, I say #4 or #5. Adore the water ones.
ReplyDeleteAlso saying prayers for this sweet family. They're lucky to have a friend like you (as I am!)
How could you choose between those? They're all perfect!
