Not too bad for a year's collection in a milk bottle!! Who knew?!?!
So here's my problem: narrowing down my choices. Obviously I am going to get books from Amazon because to this brain, that's all they sell ;)
Some of the titles I'm considering:
The list really does go on and on.... because there are still so many books that have yet to be released--I'd just need patience for that!! (plus I really should be looking out for my 2011 Reading Challenge we're going to host at bookrushed.com! But I'll do a post on that later this week ;) Let's not even mention the STACK of books in my TBR pile here at home and the new stack of books I've won from blog contests (a post on that coming as well!).
So, what say you? Any votes for which 3 books my list should be narrowed down to?? Feel free to throw some at me that aren't on the list--if you loved it, tell me.
1- Nightshade
ReplyDelete2- The Iron King
3- The lost saint (I have not read it yet but its my next purchase/wish list item.)
Good luck choosing, these are all great books!
I have Firelight on my To Be Read pile (she's PART DRAGON! It has to be awesome, right?), and loooved Anna and the French Kiss. The rest I haven't read. The covers are all SO gorgeous - I don't envy you having to choose between them.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me that I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas ... I may be joining you in these tough book-buying decisions soon!
I just finished reading Matched last night. I loved the writing and characters. I'm not even a usual YA or dystopian reader, and I still loved it. That's the best recommendation I can give. You lucky girl! Enjoy your mad money on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteTOP THREE MUST-HAVES IN ORDER
ReplyDelete1. FIRELIGHT by Sophie Jordan
2. Matched by Ally Condie
3. Anna and The French Kiss
Amazing reads!
This is not a helpful comment, I'm afraid, (unless you haven't read the Hunger Games, in which case buy that) but dang if YA doesn't have some beautiful covers!
ReplyDelete- Sophia
I'd choose Matched for sure. I liked the story a lot. I also just read the first half of Across the Universe which just released yesterday. Really well written.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, may vote is:
ReplyDelete1-Iron King
2-Matched
3-The Lost Saint
It's honestly a hard decision, I felt guilty picking only 3!!!
keep incarceron and anna and the french kiss for sure. I loved them both, especially incarceron
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Anna & the French Kiss. I read Incarceron. It's excellently written, but it was hard for me to get in to because I was so very, very confused for most of the book. I haven't read The Lost Saint yet, but I really like DD. Matched was good. Wait until after my contest to see if you win it before you buy it, though. :)
ReplyDeleteBut it looks like you can't go wrong with any of them. Great problem to have!!
Firelight and Matched!! It looks like such a dilemma though!
ReplyDeleteMatched was awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe only one I've read is MATCHED, and I really liked it. I've heard so many great things about ANNA that that's the one I'd pick if I were buying. :)
ReplyDeleteI have readed
ReplyDeleteMatched
The Lost Saint
NightShade
Firelight
I would say
Matched
Firelight
The Lost Saint in that order
I have to say that Anna and the French Kiss was absolutely fabulous. Cute! Flirty! French! Highly recommend that one.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of them but I won Matched in a contest so I am anxiously awaiting its arrival! :) I am totally with you on the Coinstar thing... I save all my change and take it there twice a year and always pick the Amazon certificate. YEAH BOOKS!
ReplyDeleteWow, y'all are NOT making this any easier!! (although I am noticing which books are NOT being mentioned, so I will keep that in mind)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Karen, I will wait until after your contest! Fingers crossed!!
I read the first chapter of Matched and LOVED it. That's my first choice :)
ReplyDeleteFirelight and Matched are sitting on my shelves waiting to be read this year so.. do that!
ReplyDeleteI can't see the list you posted ... which is weird, but judging from the comments before me, I would say Matched! But now I want to go read Firelight ...
